Margaretha Gravett is the founder of Gravett Law Firm, P.C., a boutique law firm limiting its practice to a variety of  alternative dispute resolution processes to help parties resolve their matrimonial difficulties without court intervention.  Margaretha is a trained Divorce Mediator and Collaborative Attorney who seeks to achieve amicable, non-litigated resolutions to her clients’ family law disputes.

After graduating from New York University School of Law in the year 2000, Margaretha started her career as a litigator, focusing on matrimonial and family law.  Having witnessed firsthand the destruction that divorce and custody litigation can inflict upon families, Margaretha now strives to help couples end their marriages in a respectful manner outside of court.  In every case her goals are to contain conflict between divorcing parties instead of inflaming it, and to assist her clients in resolving their differences effectively and efficiently.

Margaretha enjoys helping her clients craft creative and advantageous solutions to seemingly insurmountable obstacles.  She guides her clients through the divorce process with skill, integrity, and empathy, and she is passionate about helping divorcing couples remain in control of the outcome of their case, instead of putting their fate in the potentially unpredictable hands of a judge or a court.  Realizing that there is no such thing as an easy divorce, Margaretha endeavors to help her clients make the best out of the worst time of their lives.
