Andrew Samalin, CFP®, EA, CDFA™ is a financial professional with over 24 years of experience in assisting attorneys and their clients. Samalin has focused his practice on divorce financial planning in the collaborative divorce, mediation and litigation settings, either as a financial neutral or for one party as needed. His firm’s goal is to provide accurate and sustainable financial solutions that are clear to clients and professionals alike. He is a Certified Financial Planner and is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a federally licensed tax practitioner with the IRS.
He is the Immediate Past President of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners, Inc., and is on the Board of the NYACP. Samalin is the group leader for the Second Saturday Westchester, a national not for profit educational platform for those contemplating divorce. He is also the Treasurer of Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a $80m senior living facility in Westchester, NY.
Samalin earned both his undergraduate degree and Master’s degree in real estate finance from NYU. He has given presentations to the ADFP, IDFA, NYACP, Investment News, and others regarding both divorce financial planning and real estate and divorce. He is regularly quoted in national media outlets, including Dow Jones, Investment News, Time, and the New York Times. He was also a lecturer at NYU under Professor Lawrence Fiedler for both the capstone and real estate analytics class.
He lives in Bedford, NY with his family and three dogs. He plays in a rock band in his free time.
